from the
Bay Area UASI Management Team!

The Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Program provides financial assistance to address the unique multi-disciplinary planning, operations, equipment, training and exercise needs of high-threat, high-density urban areas, and to assist them in building and sustaining capabilities to prevent, protect against, respond to, and recover from threats or acts of terrorism. UASI funding remains primarily focused on enhancing capabilities to address CBRNE, agriculture and cyber-terrorism incidents; however, in support of national ongoing preparedness initiatives addressing such issues as pandemic influenza and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the allowable scope of UASI Program activities was expanded, provided that these activities also build capabilities that relate to terrorism.

WE HAVE MOVED!

We have finally moved into our new space in San Francisco!  Our thanks to CALEMA and the State for allowing us to use space at their facility in Oakland over the last couple of years.  However, our storage, supplies and requirement to be near the Fiscal Agent in San Francisco forced us to look for a new "home" in San Francisco.  The Port of San Francisco has provided us with space in San Francisco that meets our needs.
Although we still receive mail at San Francisco Department of Emergency Management, please note our new address for your files and correspondence:
10 Lombard Street, Suite 410
San Francisco, CA  94111
